High-performance rod electrode for corrosion-resistant surfacing
EutecTrode XHD 2222
The NiCrFeMn weld metal of the rutile-basic coated high-performance rod electrode with an output of 150% is corrosion-resistant, scale-resistant and has good low-temperature toughness. Not prone to cracking. High ductility. Residual welding stresses are reduced by plastic deformation. No risk of embrittlement due to σ-phase, carbide or nitride formation.
Technical data
DIN EN 14700: ~ E Ni1
Applications
For corrosion-resistant weld claddings on steels as well as for joint welding of highly heat-resistant Ni alloys, cold-tough steels, difficult-to-weld steels, hardenable steels, black/white joints and components with severely restricted shrinkage.
Processing instructions
Remove cracked or otherwise defective material. Clean the welding area. Re-dry at 350 °C / 2 h. Adjust the heat input during welding to the component, its material and dimensions. Use the stringer bead technique with low heat input per unit length. For workpieces with restricted shrinkage, first alloy the edges. Use wire brushes made of austenitic CrNi steels.
