EutecTrode XHD 6817 Stick electrode Ø 2.5mm

High-performance rod electrode for heat-resistant and high-temperature materials

EutecTrode XHD 6817

Rutile-base coated, sheath-alloyed high-performance stick electrode with 170 % yield. Fully austenitic Ni-based weld metal. Resistant to high-temperature corrosion such as oxidation and carburization. High temperature and scale resistant up to 1100 °C. Not susceptible to cracking.

Technical data
Part no.: 2.4628
AWS A5.11: ~ E NiCrCoMo-1

Applications
For joint welding of high-temperature Ni-based alloys, such as
2.4663 - NiCr 23 Co 12 Mo,
2.4851 - NiCr 23 Fe
2.4633 - NiCr 25 Fe Al y
as well as high-alloy CrNi steels, such as
1.4876 - X 10 NiCrAlTi 32 20
and for welding mixed joints and overlays.

Processing Instructions

  • Preparation: Remove cracked and otherwise damaged material. Clean welding areas.
  • Re-drying: Re-dry at 350 °C / 2 h.
  • Welding: Adjust the heat input to the component, its material, and dimensions. Limit interpass temperature to 100 °C. Use line weld bead technology with low line energy. Use wire brushes made of austenitic CrNi steels.
  • Welding Positions: All, except PG (f)
  • Type of Current: = (+)
