MetaCeram 28030

White ceramic powder based on corundum. High stabilization content improves layer strength, impermeability and reduces susceptibility to cracking and porosity. Electrical and thermal insulation material. High resistance to adhesion. Resistant to metallic sliding friction, lubricated and unlubricated. Good emergency running properties.

Applications
For flame spraying without melting of unalloyed, low-alloy and high-alloy steels and the corresponding cast steel grades.

Typical application examples are
Components from textile machines such as rollers, drafting carousels and thread guides; wear-resistant components for the production of resistance wires.

Processing instructions
Remove damaged material. Round off or chamfer edges. Clean spray areas, preheat to 50 - 150 °C
and roughen. Spray on a layer of primer powder in the preheated state. Maintain spray coat temperature between 80 °C and 160 °C and apply up to the desired coat thickness. Maintain a layer thickness of 0.4 - 0.7 mm. Allow to cool in still air.
