ProXon 21071

Metal powder based on a CuAlFe alloy. Can be applied without primer. High resistance to adhesion. Good resistance to metallic sliding friction, lubricated and unlubricated. Good emergency running properties. Corrosion-resistant to water (drinking, industrial and sea water), weather influences, diluted acids (acetic and sulphuric acid) and alkalis except ammonia. For operating temperatures up to 370 °C. Can be machined. Spray coatings are heterogeneous and microporous.

Applications
For flame spraying without melting of unalloyed, low-alloyed and high-alloyed steels and the corresponding cast steel types as well as copper alloys with a Cu content < 95 %, fine zinc alloys, light metal, nickel and cobalt alloys.

Typical application examples are
Adhesive primer coatings, press fits, wear rings, sliding surfaces, blades and vanes.

Processing instructions
Remove damaged material. Round off or chamfer edges. Clean spray areas, preheat to 50 - 150 °C and roughen. Apply in preheated condition up to the desired layer thickness. Maintain spray coat temperature between 50 °C and 200 °C. Adjust primer coats to a layer thickness of 0.2 - 0.3 mm, otherwise do not exceed 2 mm. Allow to cool in still air.
