Cored wire electrode for heat-resistant, emery-resistant coatings
EnDOtec DO*13
Slag-free flux cored electrode. High-alloy, martensitic FeCrSi weld metal. Resistant to sliding wear, rolling wear, impact and shock wear, galling wear as well as grain sliding and grain rolling wear. High high-temperature strength. High hardness achievable in a single layer. Can only be machined by grinding.
Technical data
DIN EN 14700: T Fe8
Material no.: 1.4718
Hardness
- single layer: ≈ 56 HRC
- three-layer: ≈ 58 HRC
Applications
For build-up welding on drawing and transport rollers, percussion drill bits, clamping jaws, stone breakers, cutting, bending and drawing tools as well as various hot work tools.
For producing wear-resistant working surfaces and edges on components made of unalloyed steels.
Processing instructions
Remove cracked or damaged material. Clean welding areas. Adjust the heat input during welding to the component, its material and dimensions. Weld with a short, spray or pulsed arc, preferably using pulse arc technology. Plastic guide core and contact tip as for welding aluminum are recommended.
Welding positions: PA, PB, PC
Type of current: = (+)
