Cored wire electrode for emery-resistant coatings
EnDOtec DO*31, Ø 1.6mm, 15.0kg
Slag-free flux cored electrode. Eutectic to slightly hypereutectic weld metal of FeCrC alloy. Excellent resistance to abrasion by abrasive mineral materials, even in conjunction with medium impact stress. Can only be machined by grinding
Technical data
DIN EN 14700: T Z Fe14
Hardness
- single layer: ≈ 55 HRC
- two-ply: ≈ 56 HRC
- three-ply: ≈ 60 HRC
Applications
For hardfacing carbon steels, alloyed and unalloyed steels and manganese hard steels.
Typical applications are:
Excavator teeth, screw conveyors, mixer blades, gravel pumps, scrapers, bar drills in civil engineering and teeth of crushing machines.
Processing instructions
Remove cracked or damaged material. Clean welding areas. Adjust the heat input during welding to the component, its material and dimensions. Weld austenitic manganese steels as cold as possible (below 250 °C) without preheating. Weld with short, spray or pulsed arc, preferably using pulse arc technology. For hardenable steels, it is necessary to weld a buffer layer.
Limit the application height to two layers or 6 mm. Plastic guide core and contact nozzle
as for welding aluminum are recommended.
Welding positions: PA, PB, PF
Type of current: = (+)
Shielding gas - EN ISO 14175:
M12 Inoxline C 2 (2.5 % CO2 - rest Ar)
