Ni-based cored wire electrode
EnDOtec DO*612 S, Ø 1.2mm, 15.0 kg
Flux cored electrode for use with shielding gas for welding nickel-based alloys, designed for manufacturing processes, joints and surfacing where high reliability and dependability is required.
Recommended for nickel-based alloys (2.4816 NiCr15Fe, 2.4817 LC NiCr15Fe, Alloy 600, 600L and 800(H). Also suitable for stainless steels with resistance to high temperatures, low-temperature steel <5 % Ni, steels of low or high thickness and stainless steels Cr and CrNiMo in various combinations.
Ideal as a protective coating against corrosion; high resistance to acidic substances, even at high concentrations Withstands pressure connections at operating temperatures between -196°C and +550°C. Authentic weld metal, temperature resistant up to 1,200ºC (sulphur-free atmosphere), insensitive to all types of heat treatment.
The low coefficient of expansion also reduces deformation and residual stresses to a minimum.
- Excellent resistance to thermal cycling and thermal fatigue.
- High impact resistance and resistance to cracking when cold.
- Stable, easy to handle arc, good fusion and penetration, reduction of welding defects.
- Low heat absorption.
- The weld metal is free of slag inclusions and there is little weld spatter.
- High deposition rate.

Application process
Welding equipment
The EnDOtec 612S product is fully compatible with conventional power sources. Programmable pulsed arc equipment provides optimum performance
Prepare
Remove any fissures or remnants of fatigued material and clean the welding area.
Preheating
Preheating is not usually necessary for nickel alloys. For steels, preheating must be carried out according to the composition and dimensions of the base material.
Welding parameters
Current and polarity: DC = (+)
Stick-out: 15 - 20 mm
Processing
The weld metal can be easily machined by grinding and can be cut with a gouging tool (Arc-Air) or plasma arc.
Welding positions
PA, PB [ISO 06947]
