Cored wire electrode for emery-resistant coatings
TeroMatec 4601, Ø 1.6mm, 15.0 kg
Self-protecting, slag-containing flux-cored wire electrode. Ledeburitic weld metal based on FeCrC. Can also be processed under shielding gas. Excellent resistance to abrasion by mineral substances. Low suitability for predominantly impact and shock loads. Can only be machined by grinding.
Technical data
DIN EN 14700: T Fe15
Hardness: 50 - 59 HRC
Applications
For build-up welding of unalloyed and low-alloy steels, cast steel materials and manganese hard steels.
Typical applications are
Screw conveyors in the ceramics and clay industry, mixer blades, cement and concrete pump parts, gravel pumps, sand processing plants, suction dredger rotors and housings as well as pan grinder rotors.
Processing instructions
Remove cracked or damaged material. Clean welding areas. Adjust the heat input during welding to the component, its material and dimensions. Weld austenitic manganese steels as cold as possible (below 250 °C) without preheating. For hardenable steels, it is necessary to weld a buffer layer. Limit the height of the deposit to two layers or 6 mm.
Welding positions: PA, PB, PC
Type of current: = (+)
Shielding gas: preferably without;
EN ISO 14175 - M21 (5 - 25 % CO2 - rest Ar);
EN ISO 14175 - C1 (100% CO2)
