Cored wire electrode for emery-resistant coatings
TeroMatec 4923
Self-protecting flux-cored wire electrode containing slag. Martensitic weld metal with embedded titanium carbides. FeCrTiMoC-based. High wear resistance against abrasion and erosion with simultaneous fatigue stress caused by pressure and heavy impacts.
Technical data
DIN EN 14700: T Fe8
Hardness: ~ 53 HRC (single layer)
Hardness: ~ 55 HRC (double layer)
Applications
For hardfacing unalloyed and low-alloy steels and structural steels as well as austenitic manganese steels.
Typical applications are:
Crusher hammers, blow bars, baffle plates, excavator teeth, excavator bucket edges, scraper shields as well as rotors and housings of excavator pumps.
Processing instructions
Remove cracked or damaged material as well as any non-alloy weld metal. Clean welding areas. Adjust the heat input during welding to the component, its material and dimensions. Weld austenitic manganese steels as cold as possible (below 250 °C) without preheating. For hardenable steels, it is necessary to weld a buffer layer.
Welding positions: PA, PB, PC
Type of current: = (+)
