Applications
For joint welding of heat-resistant, CrMo-alloyed boiler and pipe steels, e.g:
1.7375 - 12 CrMo 9 10,
1.7379 - GS-18 CrMo 9 10,
1.7380 - 10 CrMo 9 10,
1.7383 - 11 CrMo 9 10
and corresponding cast and pipe materials, as well as similar low-alloy case-hardening and heat-treatable steels. Also for build-up welding of tools.
Typical applications are
Components from steam boiler, pressure vessel and pipeline construction as well as forging dies.
Processing instructions
Clean welding areas. During welding, adjust the heat input to the component, its material and dimensions, preheat alloy-like steels to 200 - 350 °C. Weld with a short, spray or pulsed arc, preferably using pulse arc technology.
After welding, a tempering treatment (750 °C / 2 h / air cooling) or heat treatment (950 °C / 0.5 h / air cooling, 750 °C /0.5 h / furnace cooling to 300 °C / air) is required.
