Cored wire electrode for wear-resistant coatings
EnDOtec DO*332, Ø 1.6mm, 15.0 kg
Slag-free metal powder cored wire to be welded under mixed gas. Excellent for maintenance and repair with high productivity and efficiency. Austenitic matrix - therefore corrosion-resistant - with finely dispersed Cr carbides and complex CrMo carbides. Protects highly stressed components against abrasion in combination with high compressive stress and partial impact stress.
Coatings exhibit good resistance to hardening cracks. Spatter-free material transition. Suitable for thicker coatings in several layers. High melting performance over a wide parameter range.
Technical data
DIN EN 14700: T Fe 14
Hardness: ~ 60 HRC
Applications
For applying wear protection coatings to structural steels, alloy steels, manganese steels and cast steel in the cement industry, drilling industry and quarries.
Typical applications are:
Excavator teeth, transportation systems, sand processing plants, mixer blades, rolling mills, forging hammers and crusher mills.
Processing instructions
Remove damaged material and clean the welding area. Adjust preheating to the base material. Coat manganese steels without preheating at a maximum interpass temperature of 250 °C. For hardenable steels, it is necessary to weld a buffer layer (e.g. EnDOtec DO*02).
Weld with short, spray or pulsed arc. Prefer pulse technique to keep mixing to a minimum. Limit the application height to two layers or 8 mm.
Use plastic core and contact tip as for aluminum welding.
Welding positions: PA, PB, PC
Type of current: = (+)
Shielding gas: EN ISO 14175 - M12
Shielding gas volume: 16 - 18 l/min
