Solid wire electrode for high-temperature CrMo steels
CastoMag 45252
CrMo-alloyed weld metal with high high-temperature strength up to 570 °C. The lowest operating temperature is -10 °C. Hardness increase through case hardening, nitriding or tempering.
Technical data
EN ISO 21952-A: G CrMo 1Si
Material no.: 1.7339
AWS A5.28: ER80S-G
Applications
For joint welding of heat-resistant, CrMo-alloyed boiler and pipe steels, e.g:
1.7335 - 13 CrMo 4 5
1.7357 - GS-17 CrMo 5 5
and corresponding cast and pipe materials, as well as similar low-alloy case-hardening and heat-treatable steels.
quenched and tempered steels.
Typical application examples are
Components from steam boiler, pressure vessel and pipeline construction.
Processing instructions
Clean welding areas. During welding, adjust the heat input to the component, its material and dimensions, preheat alloy-like steels to 200-250 °C. Weld with a short, spray or pulsed arc, preferably using pulse arc technology.
After welding, a tempering treatment (720 °C / 0.5 h / air cooling) is required.
Welding positions: all, except PG (f)
Type of current: = (+)
Shielding gas:
M21 (5-25 % CO2 - rest Ar);
M12 (max. 5 % CO2 - rest Ar)
Approvals
