Applications
For build-up, joint and gap soldering, e.g: Unalloyed and low-alloy steels (structural steels, case-hardening, heat-treatable and nitriding steels), nickel, nickel alloys, copper and copper alloys (TS > 950 °C, Solidus), aluminum-bronze (CuAl alloys), malleable cast iron (GTW), nickel silver (CuNiZn alloys) as well as for joint brazing of cast iron materials (GJS).
Typical application examples are
Car body superstructures, elements of steel radiators, bicycle frames, pipe flanges, boilers, copper containers, sanitary installations and cast parts.
Processing instructions
Clean soldering areas. Round off edges. Coat soldering surfaces with flux. Heat the tip of the soldering rod and dip it into the flux. Preheat the workpiece widely and continuously. Do not overheat. Remove corrosive flux residues.
Heat sources: Flame soldering (acetylene; oxidizing for bronze and brass, otherwise neutral), oven, HF induction, resistance heating.
Delivery form
