Stick electrode for stainless steels

Castolin CP 33516

Rutile-based coated stick electrode with niobium-stabilized, austenitic weld metal. Resistant to pitting and intercrystalline corrosion up to 400 °C. Scale resistant up to 800 °C. The lowest permissible operating temperature is -90 °C.

Typical applications are:
Castolin CP 33516 is used in the chemical industry, the textile industry, in machine, apparatus, pipeline and container construction as well as in the general food industry and in breweries.

Processing instructions
Clean welding areas. Re-dry at 350 °C/1 h. Limit interpass temperature to 150 °C. Use wire brushes made of austenitic CrNi steels.
