CastoWig 45612 W

The Ni-based weld metal is scale-resistant up to 1000 °C, heat-resistant up to 900 °C and cold-tough down to -269 °C. Not susceptible to cracking. Corrosion-resistant against media, e.g: Chlorine (dry), chlorides, fatty acids, phosphoric acid, salicylic acid and caustic soda.

Particularly suitable for black/white connections with operating temperatures above 300 °C. Maximum permissible operating temperature +550 °C. Also for multi-layer coatings on low-alloy steels.

Processing instructions
Remove cracked and otherwise damaged material. Clean welding areas. Adjust heat conduction during welding to the component, its material and dimensions. Limit the interpass temperature to 150 °C. Ensure a continuous supply of filler material.
Form sufficiently for root welds. Use wire brushes made of austenitic CrNi steels.
