Cobalt hard alloy for wear protection
EutecDur N 9060
Rutile-basic coated rod electrode with Cr-, W-alloyed weld metal on Co-basis. Extremely corrosion-resistant hardfacing. Wear-resistant against abrasion, pressure and impact at high temperatures and in corrosive media. Low coefficient of friction with metallic sliding friction. Resistant to adhesive wear (even in the absence of lubrication).

Applications
For the deposition welding of unalloyed, low-alloy and high-alloy steels and nickel materials.
Typical examples of applications are:
- pump shafts;
- shaft protection sleeves;
- valve seats, slide rails, inner hats and valve caps of slide valves;
- forging dies;
- blades of hot shears;
- hot deburring and punching tools;
- glass shears;
- screw conveyors;
- crusher hammers;
- water turbines;
- arms, blades and shafts of mixers;
- woodworking tools such as debarking knives and gang saw blades.
Processing instructions
Remove cracked or damaged material. Clean the welding area. Adjust the heat control during welding to the component, its material and dimensions. For crack-free welds, preheat to at least 450 °C. For hardenable steels, a buffer layer is required. During welding, do not fall below the preheating temperature. Allow to cool in still air.
