Eutalloy RW 12525

Self-flowing metal powder based on NiCrBSi with a particularly high Cr content to improve corrosion and wear resistance at elevated working temperatures. Resistant to sliding, galling, grain sliding and impact jet wear as well as erosion, cavitation and droplet impact. Corrosion resistant. Viscous during melting, reduced tendency to bead formation or to slide off vertical surfaces. Increased edge stability. Can be used up to approx. 700°C.

Applications
For thermal spraying with subsequent melting of unalloyed, low-alloy and high-alloy steels and the corresponding cast steel grades as well as copper alloys and cast iron materials.

Typical applications are
Sealing surfaces on shaft sleeves of pumps and water turbines, water-lubricated plain bearings, housing and impeller wear rings from centrifugal pumps, rotors of slurry and concrete pumps, sealing points on valve spindles as well as mixer and agitator shafts. Coating of wear parts from the drilling industry, especially for components that are difficult to magnetize.

Processing instructions
Remove damaged material. Round off or chamfer edges. Clean spray areas, preheat to 50 - 150 °C and roughen. Spray to the desired layer thickness in the preheated state. Do not exceed a layer thickness of 1.5 mm. Heat the workpiece to working temperature and melt the spray coating (within 15 minutes). The working temperature can be recognized by the metallic sheen of the molten state. Do not overheat/overtime. Allow to cool in still air.

Melting: Flame burner (acetylene, neutral to reducing), inert gas furnace, (HF induction)
Shrinkage: 20 % during melting

*The achievable hardness values depend on the selected spraying parameters, preheating temperatures, etc. No guarantee can therefore be given that the hardness values will be achieved.
