CastoMag 45351 Welding rods

For heat-resistant, emery-resistant coatings

CastoMag 45351

Martensitic chromium steel with good high-temperature strength. Scale resistant up to 800 °C. Highest permissible operating temperature: 650 °C. High resistance to sliding, rolling and rolling wear; impact and shock wear as well as galling wear. Withstands impact and shock loads. Heat treatable

Technical data
DIN EN 14700: S Fe8 gtz
Material no.: 1.4718

Applications
For build-up welding of medium-hard, hardenable and naturally hard steels as well as austenitic manganese hard steels and for producing wear-resistant working surfaces and edges on components made of unalloyed steels.

Typical applications are
Drawing and transport rolls, cold and hot working tools, cutting, bending and drawing tools,
jaws, stone breakers, percussion drill bits and track tamping tools.

Processing instructions
Remove cracked or damaged material. Clean welding areas. When welding, adjust the heat input to the component, its material and dimensions. In the case of hardenable steels, it may be necessary to weld a buffer layer. Weld with a short, spray or pulsed arc, preferably using pulse arc technology.

Welding positions: all, except PG (f)
