CastoMag 45500S
Austenitic weld metal with low C content and approx. 10 % δ-ferrite. Resistant to pitting and intergranular corrosion up to 400 °C. Scale resistant up to 800 °C. The lowest operating temperature is -196 °C. Can be polished to a mirror finish.

CastoMag 45500 S is used in the chemical industry, the textile industry, in machine, apparatus, pipeline and container construction as well as in the general food industry and in breweries.
Processing instructions
Clean welding areas. Limit interpass temperature to 150 °C. Weld with short, spray or pulsed arc, pulse arc technique preferred. Use wire brushes made of austenitic CrNi steels.
