TIG welding rod for titanium and titanium alloys
EnDOTig 54360X DW, Ø 1.5mm, 1.0kg
Unalloyed Ti-based weld metal. High corrosion resistance due to the formation of a passive layer. Resistant to oxidizing acids and acid mixtures, seawater and brackish water.
Technical data
EN ISO 24373: STi 0120 (Ti 99.6)
Material no.: 3.7036
AWS A5.7: ~ ERTi - 2
Applications
For joint and build-up welding of titanium and titanium alloys, e.g:
3.7024 - Ti 99.5;
3.7034 - Ti 99.4;
3.7035 - Ti 99.7.
Typical application examples are
Components from seawater desalination plants, heat exchangers, tanks and pipe systems, bleaching systems in the pulp industry, tanks for chemical and electrochemical processes and components in aircraft construction.
Processing instructions
Clean welding areas and filler metal with acetone. Only feed the welding rod with clean gloves. During welding, adjust the heat input to the component, its material and dimensions. Use line weld bead technology with low line energy. Ensure a continuous supply of filler material.
When welding and cooling the workpiece, ensure adequate gas protection, including secondary protection. If possible, process in a vacuum or under complete gas protection and allow to cool. Observe DVS data sheet 2713!
