CastoWig 45553 WS
Niobium-stabilized, austenitic weld metal with approx. 10 % δ-ferrite. Resistant to pitting and intercrystalline corrosion up to 400 °C. Scale resistant up to 800 °C. Maximum permissible operating temperature -120 °C to +400 °C.

CastoWig 45553 WS is used, for example, for joint welding of pipes, fittings, apparatus and containers in paper mills and dye works as well as in the chemical industry.
Processing instructions
Clean welding areas. Limit interpass temperature to 150 °C. Ensure a continuous supply of filler material. Form sufficiently for root welds. Use wire brushes made of austenitic CrNi steels.
