Flux cored wire for highly abrasion resistant hardfacing
EnDOtec DO*48, Ø 1.6 mm, 15.0 kg
Cored wire electrode consisting of a steel sheath with tungsten carbide filling. Ledeburitic weld metal with embedded tungsten carbides (partially unmelted). Very high abrasion and erosion resistance. Hard cracks have no influence on the high wear resistance.
Coarse-droplet material transfer. Low-viscosity weld pool. Low slag formation.
Technical data
DIN EN 14700: T Fe20
Hardness (matrix): 50 - 55 HRC
Hardness (tungsten carbides): ~ 2400 HV 0.4
Applications
For build-up welding on unalloyed, low-alloy and high-alloy steels, tool steels and corresponding cast steel.
Typical examples of use are:
components subject to abrasion and erosion, such as deep drilling equipment, excavation machines, agricultural machines, foundry machines, crushers, mills, slurry pumps, mixers, excavators, transport and screening plants.
Processing instructions
Remove all cracked or damaged material and any weld metal of a different alloy. Clean the welding area. Adjust the heat input to suit the component, its material and dimensions during welding. Allow to cool in still air.
Welding positions: PA, PB, PC
Current type: = (+)
Shielding gas - EN ISO 14175:
M 21 Ferroline C 18 (18% CO2 - rest Ar)
