Eutalloy RW 12496

Self-flowing metal powder based on NiCrBSi. Low coefficient of friction with metallic sliding friction. Good emergency running properties. Resistant to rolling, sliding, grain sliding and blasting wear. Corrosion-resistant to water (hot and cold industrial water, drinking water, seawater), weather influences, industrial atmospheres, diluted sulphuric or phosphoric acid, formic and acetic acid and caustic soda. Withstands pressure and impact stress.
Oxidation and scale resistant. For operating temperatures up to 700 °C.

Applications
For thermal spraying with subsequent melting of unalloyed, low-alloy and high-alloy steels and the corresponding cast steel grades as well as copper alloys and cast iron materials.

Typical applications are
Roller table rollers, calibrating rollers, piercing mandrels, piston rods, plungers, pump shafts, shaft sleeves, pump blades, mixer blades, extruder screws, roller bodies, punches and molds.

Processing instructions
Remove damaged material. Round off or chamfer edges. Clean spray areas, preheat to 50 - 150 °C and roughen. Spray to the desired layer thickness when preheated. Do not exceed a layer thickness of 1.5 mm. Heat the workpiece to working temperature and melt the spray coating (within 15 minutes). The working temperature can be recognized by the metallic sheen of the molten state. Do not overheat/overtime. Allow to cool in still air.

Spraying device: CastoDyn DS 8000
Melting: Flame burner (acetylene, neutral to reducing), inert gas furnace, (HF induction)
Shrinkage: 20 % during melting

*The achievable hardness values depend on the selected spraying parameters, preheating temperatures, etc. No guarantee can therefore be given that the hardness values will be achieved.
