for wear and heat-resistant coatings
Eutalloy UltrAloy 10611
Heterogeneous metal powder mixture of diluted matrix component and tungsten carbides. Coatings with NiCoCrBSi matrix and embedded hard materials. High wear resistance against abrasion and erosion caused by particles impacting at high speed. Withstands impact stress. High corrosion resistance. For operating temperatures up to 700 °C. Optimum surface protection with layer thicknesses of 0.5 - 2 mm.
Technical data
Hardness [HRC]: 57*
Hardness [HV 1]: 1,900*
Tungsten carbide/matrix: 50/50
Grain size distribution [μm]: 20 - 125
Working temperature [°C]: 1,150
Applications
For thermal spraying with simultaneous melting of unalloyed, low-alloy and high-alloy steels and the corresponding cast steel grades as well as cast iron materials.
Typical applications are
Pressing dies for hollow bricks, extruder screws, scrapers, production of press bricks from ore, coke residues or coal agglomerates, coke scrapers, aluminum slurry pumps, mixer blades, guides, blades of slag feed pumps, pump housings and blower blades.
Processing instructions
Remove damaged material. Clean spray areas. Adjust the heat control during spraying to the component, its material and dimensions. Mix metal powder well. For better wetting, use intermediate layers of Eutalloy BronzoChrom 10185 for cast iron and Eutalloy TungTec 10112 for medium-hard, alloyed steels. To protect the surface against oxidation, spray on a thin layer and melt in while adding more powder. Allow to cool in still air.
Preheating:
GJL: 600 - 800 °C
Steel: 300 - 400 °C
*The achievable hardness values depend on the selected spraying parameters, preheating temperatures, etc. No guarantee can therefore be given that the hardness values will be achieved.
