EuTroLoy 16021

Metal powder for adhesion/corrosion-resistant coatings

EuTroLoy 16021

Metal powder for build-up welding using PTA or laser cladding. Developed for welding with EuTronic GAP systems. Also suitable for other PTA systems or for laser welding.
Cold-strengthening, non-magnetic, easily machinable and polishable coatings. Corrosion-, oxidation-, heat-, cavitation-, thermal shock- and creep-resistant weld metal. Low metal/sliding friction coefficient, insensitive to adhesive wear.

Technical data
Manufacturing process: gas atomized
Hardness
-untreated [HRC]: 46*
work-hardened [HRC]: up to 40*
*The hardness achieved depends on the spraying parameters and may vary.

Applications
For plasma powder joining and build-up welding of unalloyed, low-alloy and high-alloy steels and the corresponding cast steel grades.

Typical applications are
Calibration tools for steel forming, hot work tools such as dies and shear blades, valve seats, sealing surfaces of shafts and journals, pump and turbine parts, buffer layers for coatings made from EuTroLoy 16001, 16006, and 16012 powders.

Applications
Remove damaged material. Clean welding areas. During welding, adjust the heat input to the component, its material and dimensions, preheat up to 650 °C if necessary. Minimize mixing. Allow the workpiece to cool slowly.
