RotoTec HardTec 19400 Metal powder

for adhesion-resistant coatings

RotoTec HardTec 19400

Metal powder based on a ferritic-martensitic Cr steel. High hardness. High resistance to adhesion. Good resistance to metallic sliding friction, lubricated and unlubricated. Machinable by chip removal. Spray coatings are heterogeneous and microporous.

Technical data
Hardness [HV 30]: 410*
Grain size distribution [μm]: 38 - 125
Density [g/cm3]: 7.9

Applications
For flame spraying without melting of unalloyed, low-alloy and high-alloy steels and the corresponding cast steel grades.

Typical applications are
Press pistons, plungers, bearing points of motors (fixed bearing seats) and shaft sleeves.

Processing instructions
Remove damaged material. Round off or chamfer edges. Clean spray areas, preheat to 50 - 150 °C and roughen. Spray on a layer of primer powder in the preheated state. Maintain spray coat temperature between 50 °C and 200 °C and apply up to the desired coat thickness. Do not exceed a layer thickness of 2 mm. Allow to cool in still air.

Spray gun: CastoDyn DS 8000
Primer powder: ProXon 21021

*The achievable hardness values depend on the selected spraying parameters, preheating temperatures, etc. No guarantee can therefore be given that the hardness values will be achieved.
