Gas welding rod for highly abrasion-resistant coatings
XuperMax 7111
Welding rods made of steel tubes with hard material filling. Weld metal made of tungsten carbide in tough Fe matrix (prevents carbide break-out). TIG-weldable. Resistant to abrasion, erosion and blasting wear.
XuperMax 7111 M is for universal use and 7111 G especially for protection when working in rocky ground.
Technical data

Applications
For build-up welding of unalloyed, low-alloy and high-alloy steels, tool steels and corresponding cast steel and cast iron alloys.
Typical applications are:
Screw conveyors, leading edges and tips on mixer tools and grinding segments,
roller chisels, conical toothed cutting rollers, rock drills and stabilizers of drill rods.
Processing instructions
Remove cracked or damaged material. Clean welding areas. When welding, adjust the heat input to the component, its material and dimensions. When gas welding, set a neutral to reducing flame. Avoid melting the base material. Ensure a continuous
filler material supply. Allow to cool in still air.
Welding positions: PA, PB
Type of current: = (-)
Shielding gas (EN ISO 14175): I1 (100 % Ar)
