Applications
GreenFlux1600 PF Amosin is preferably used in combination with low-melting four-component silver brazing alloys such as:
1655, 1665, 1666, 1800 etc.
For capillary brazing of steel, including stainless steel, copper, brass and bronze, with the exception of aluminum bronze.
Processing instructions
Preparation
- If necessary, clean, degrease and deburr joint surfaces.
- Apply flux to the joining area, e.g. with a brush.
- Position and fix the parts in their final position
Soldering process
For torch soldering:
- Set the torch to a neutral or slightly carburizing flame. Heat the parts to be joined evenly to soldering temperature.
- Melt the solder until the soldering gap is completely filled.
Reworking
- The flux residues have a corrosive effect and must be removed from the solder joint.
- The flux residues can be removed with hot water or soaking in cold water followed by rinsing.
- Flux residues can also be removed mechanically, for example by brushing, grinding or sandblasting.
