The Eutalloy process involves thermal spraying, which is a coating process that enhances the surface properties of a component, such as its resistance to wear, corrosion, or high temperatures. The process typically uses a powder composed of a specific alloy, designed for the application's requirements. This powder is fed into a torch, where it is heated to a molten or semi-molten state and then sprayed onto the surface of the workpiece. The result is a very dense, strongly adherent coating that significantly improves the performance and durability of the treated parts.
Eutalloy products are often used in a wide range of industries, including power generation, cement, steel, mining, and various manufacturing sectors, to protect critical components like valves, shafts, rollers, and molds against extreme conditions and wear.
Flame spraying with simultaneous melting
The spray additive is melted, sprayed onto the workpiece and melted at the same time in a single operation. SuperJet Eutalloy S and CastoDyn DS 8000 with CastoDyn SF Lance are used as spraying devices. The short spraying distance enables precise, targeted armoring, e.g. on edges/tips. Coatings from 0.1 mm thickness are non-porous. Coating thicknesses of several millimeters are possible.
