Stick electrode for highly abrasion-resistant coatings
CastoDur N 102
Rutile-coated high-performance stick electrode with a yield of 150 % based on FeCrVMo. Bainitic-martensitic weld metal with embedded carbides and retained austenite. Not susceptible to cracking even with multiple layers. Abrasion-resistant, resists fatigue due to pressure and impact.
Technical data
DIN EN 14700: E Fe8
Hardness [HRC]: 50 - 55
Applications
For hardfacing medium-hard, hardenable, naturally hard and unalloyed steels as well as austenitic manganese hard steels.
Typical applications are:
Teeth of drill bits and impact grabs, hammers of impact mills and excavator buckets as well as teeth and pinions of roll crushers, teeth and attack edges of dragline buckets, cable excavators or shovel excavators.
Processing instructions
Remove cracked or damaged material. Clean welding areas. Adjust the welding heat to the component, its material and dimensions, preheat to 250 - 300 °C if necessary. Weld austenitic manganese steels as cold as possible (≤ 300 °C) without preheating. For hardenable steels, it is necessary to weld a buffer layer.
Welding positions: PA, PB, PC, PF
Current type: = (-) or ~
