Flux-cored wire electrode for wear-resistant hardfacing
EnDOtec DO*322, Ø 1.6mm, 15.0 kg
Slag-free metal powder flux-cored wire for welding under mixed gas. Martensitic matrix with finely distributed CrMoV carbides and borides. Resistant to abrasion and erosion in combination with moderate impact.
Although cracks can occur in the hardener under unfavourable cooling conditions, these do not run into the base material. Splatter-free material transfer, positional welding is possible. High deposition rate. Can only be machined by grinding.
Technical data
DIN EN 14700: T Z Fe8
Hardness: 55 - 65 HRC
Applications
For the application of wear-resistant layers on construction steels, alloyed steels, manganese steels and cast steel in the cement industry, drilling industry and quarries.
Typical examples of use are:
Excavator teeth, transport systems, sand processing plants, mixer blades, screw conveyors and rod drills.
Processing instructions
Remove damaged material and clean the welding area. Adjust preheating to the base material. Do not preheat manganese steels. Weld at a maximum interpass temperature of 250 °C. When using hardenable steels, it is necessary to weld a buffer layer (e.g. EnDOtec DO*02).
Use the short-circuit, spray transfer or pulsed arc welding process. Use the pulse technique to keep the dilution to a minimum. Limit the height of the deposit to two layers or 8 mm.
Use the plastic liner and contact tip used for aluminium welding.
Welding positions: PA, PB, PC, PF, PG
Current type: = (+)
Shielding gas – EN ISO 14175:
M 21 Ferroline C 18 (18% CO2 – remainder Ar)
Shielding gas volume: 16 – 18 l/min
