Flux-cored wire electrode for wear-resistant hardfacing
EnDOtec DO*327
Slag-free metal powder flux-cored wire for welding under mixed gas. Excellently suited for maintenance and repair with high productivity and efficiency. Martenitic, partially austenitic matrix with finely distributed Nb carbides and complex CrMo carbides.
Protects highly stressed components against abrasion and erosion in combination with high pressure and impact loads at ambient and elevated temperatures (approx. 500 °C). Coatings are insensitive to cracks. Splatter-free material transfer.
Ideally suited for thicker coatings in several layers. High deposition rate over a wide parameter range.
Technical data
DIN EN 14700: T Z Fe2
Hardness: 50 - 58 HRC
Applications
For the application of wear-resistant layers on construction steels, alloyed steels, manganese steels and cast steel in the cement industry, drilling industry and quarries.
Typical applications include:
Excavator teeth, conveyor systems, sand processing plants, mixer blades, rolling mills, forging hammers and crusher mills.
Processing instructions
Remove damaged material and clean the welding area. Adjust preheating to the base material. Do not preheat when welding manganese steels; the maximum interpass temperature is 250°C. When welding hardenable steels, a buffer layer (e.g. EnDOtec DO*02) must be welded.
Use short, spray or pulsed arc welding. Use pulse welding to keep dilution to a minimum.
Use the same plastic liner and contact tip as for aluminium welding.
Welding positions: PA, PB, PC
Current type: = (+)
Shielding gas - EN ISO 14175:
M12 - Inoxline C 2 (2.5% CO2 - remainder Ar)
Shielding gas volume: 16 – 18 l/min
