The weld metal of the flux-cored wire electrode (without slag) on a nickel base, highly alloyed with molybdenum, chromium and tungsten, is particularly suitable for highly heat-resistant and crack-free build-up welding.
High sliding wear resistance combined with high compressive and impact strength, even at high temperatures. Resistant to thermal shock (with water and air cooling).
Scaling resistant up to 1200 °C. Good resistance to high-temperature corrosion (up to approx. 1100 °C) and wet corrosion with sulfurous acids and high chloride concentrations.

Applications
Weld surfacing on surfaces of tools and machine parts subject to hot wear, e.g. forging dies, hot hole mandrels, blades of hot shears, tips of stripper tongs, stretching rollers, hot pressing tools, forging saddles. Corrosion-resistant coatings with additional wear resistance, e.g. parts of pickling plants, contact surfaces in shut-off and control valves, transport equipment in furnaces, annealing and hardening plants. For joining similarly alloyed nickel-based materials such as 2.4819, Ni Mo 16 Cr 15 W and unalloyed and low-alloy steels, as well as dissimilar joints.

Processing instructions
The surfaces of the material to be welded must be metallically bright. Weld metal that is fatigued, cracked or of a foreign alloy must be removed. The wire should preferably be welded using a short arc or pulsed arc. The preheating must be adapted to the respective base material. For thicker coatings and low-alloy hot-working steels, a base or intermediate layer with EnDOtec DO*16 is recommended.
