EutecDur N 9010 Electrode

Cobalt hard alloy for wear protection

EutecDur N 9010

Rutile-basic coated rod electrode with Cr-, W-alloyed weld metal on Co-basis. Extremely corrosion-resistant hardfacing. Wear-resistant against abrasion, even at increased temperatures and in corrosive media. Low coefficient of friction with metallic sliding friction. Resistant to adhesive wear (even in the absence of lubrication).

Technical data
DIN EN 14700: E Co3
AWS A 5.13: ECoCr-B
Hardness: 50 – 57 HRC
Density: 8.6 kg/dm³

Applications
For the build-up welding of unalloyed, low-alloy and high-alloy steels and nickel materials.

Typical examples of use are:
pump shafts; shaft protection bushes; fastening flanges; valve shaft ends; valve seats; seats, slide rails, inner caps and valve caps for slide valves; blades for hot shears; hot deburring and punching tools; glass shears; swirl chambers and combustion chambers; wire guides in wire drawing plants; ventilators; water turbines; arms, blades and shafts of mixers and agitators; screw conveyors and crusher hammers.

Processing instructions
Remove any cracked or damaged material. Clean the welding area. Adjust the heat control during welding to the component, its material and dimensions. For crack-free welds, preheat to at least 450 °C. When using hardenable steels, it is necessary to weld a buffer layer. During welding, do not fall below the preheating temperature. Allow to cool in still air.
