Electrode for cut-resistant surfacing
EutecTrode 2 R
Rutile-coated electrode on an FeCrMo basis with increased C content. Microstructure of bainite and martensite. Not prone to cracking. High hardness and abrasion resistance. Impact resistant and cut-resistant. Can be heat treated and nitrided.
Technical data
DIN EN 14700: E Z Fe2
Hardness (untreated): approx. 59 HRC
Applications
For build-up welding on carbon, manganese and chromium-molybdenum steels as well as alloy-similar
cast steel materials.
Typical applications include:
Excavator teeth and buckets, levelling bars, gripper claws, inner walls of concrete mixers, crusher jaws, crawler links, suction excavator runners, roller conveyor grates, chain drive wheels, wear plates,
dies, cutting blades, embossing and folding jaws, and plate shears.
Processing instructions
Remove any cracked or damaged material. Clean the welding area. Adjust the heat input during welding to the component, its material and dimensions. Preheat hardenable steels to 400 °C. Stress-relief heat all welds without intermediate cooling at 650 °C for 1 hour.
Welding positions: all except PG (f)
Current type: = (+) or ~
