Special filler metal for highly abrasive armoring
TeroCote 7620 E
The welding consumables for gas welding consist of a tungsten carbide added weld metal with a tough NiCrBSi matrix. Very high abrasion resistance. Coatings up to 10 mm thick.
TeroCote 7888 is a flexible coated continuous wire.

Applications
For build-up welding of unalloyed, low-alloy and high-alloy steels, tool steels, corresponding cast steel, cast iron alloys and nickel-based alloys.
Typical applications are
Extremely hard, abrasion-resistant surfacing in corrosive media such as press and conveyor screws, ripper teeth, drill bits, crusher stars, rock drills, scraping and leveling knives and scrapers.
Processing instructions
Remove cracked or damaged material. Clean welding areas. Preheat the workpiece over a wide area or completely to 300 - 350 °C. At the start of the coating process, raise the preheating temperature locally to 600 - 700 °C. Melt off the filler metal during further heating to brazing temperature. To improve wetting and ensure even distribution of the tungsten carbides, keep the filler metal in contact with the base metal. When gas welding, set a neutral to reducing flame. Allow to cool in still air.
Welding positions: PA, PB
