Applications
For joining and deposition welding of austenitic or heat-resistant steels of the type CrNi 25-20 as well as of similar alloy steels or cast steel types, e.g. heat-resistant, austenitic CrNi steels:
1.4826; 1.4828; 1.4840; 1.4841; 1.4845; 1.4846
or ferritic-perlitic Cr steels:
1.4710; 1.4713; 1.4724; 1.4740; 1.4742; 1.4762
Typical applications include:
Components of industrial furnaces, sealing surfaces of fittings in high-temperature applications, heat cladding, burner support tubes and hardening baskets.
Processing instructions
Remove any cracked or otherwise damaged material. Clean the welding areas. Adjust the heat input during welding to suit the component, its material and dimensions.
When welding similar alloys, limit the interpass temperature to 150 °C. Use a short-circuit, spray or pulsed arc; pulsed arc technique is preferred.
