Solid wire for stainless steels
CastoMag 45553 S, 1.0 mm, 15 kg
Niobium-stabilised austenitic weld metal with approx. 10 % δ-ferrite. Resistant to pitting and intercrystalline corrosion up to 400 °C. Scaling resistant up to 800 °C. The lowest permissible operating temperature is -120 °C.

CastoMag 45553 S is used, for example, for joint welding of pipelines, fittings, apparatus and containers in paper mills and dye works, as well as in the chemical industry.
Processing instructions
Clean the welding areas. Limit the interpass temperature to 150 °C. Use short, spray or pulsed arc welding; use pulse arc technique. Use wire brushes made of austenitic CrNi steels.
