CastoMag 45758 MIG-MAG wire electrode

Solid wire electrode for ferrous and copper materials

CastoMag 45758, Ø 1.2 mm, 15.0 kg

Welding material that becomes work-hardened when impacted, exposed to high pressure or when the edges are pressed. High wear resistance against metallic sliding friction and cavitation. Good corrosion resistance against salt solutions and seawater.

Technical data
EN ISO 24373: S Cu 6327 (CuAl8Ni2)
Mat. ref.: 2.0922

Applications
For joining CuAl alloys and for deposition welding on steels, cast steel, cast iron, copper and copper alloys.

Typical applications include:
bearing shells, drive shafts, guide rails, sealing surfaces, deep-drawing dies (especially for CrNi
steel sheets), mandrels, cones and pressure plates.

Processing instructions
Remove any cracked or otherwise damaged material. Clean the welding areas. Adjust the heat control during welding to the component, its material and dimensions, preheat solid components to up to 600 °C. Use short, spray or pulsed arc welding; prefer pulse arc technology.

Welding positions: all except PG (f)
Current type: = (+)
Shielding gas EN ISO 14175:
