Cored wire electrode for abrasion-resistant coatings
EnDOtec DO*30
Slag-free flux-cored wire electrode with metal powder filling and high-alloy FeBC weld metal. Martensitic microstructure with embedded iron borides and iron carbides. Can also be welded without shielding gas. Cracks have no influence on the high wear resistance. Can only be machined by grinding.
Technical data
DIN EN 14700: T Fe13
Hardness: 60 - 65 HRC
Applications
For hardfacing carbon steels, alloyed and unalloyed steels and manganese hard steels.
Typical applications are:
Transport chutes and augers, scraper buckets, cutting edges of sand processing plants, excavator buckets
and mixer blades in the construction industry, transportation, foundries and gravel works.
Processing instructions
Remove cracked or damaged material. Clean welding areas. During welding, adjust the heat to the component, its material and dimensions. Weld with a short, spray or pulsed arc, preferably using pulse arc technology.
Plastic guide core and contact tip as for welding aluminum are recommended.
Welding positions: PA, PB, PC
Type of current: = (+)
Shielding gas - EN ISO 14175:
M 21 Ferroline C 18 (18% CO2 - rest Ar)
M12 Inoxline C 2 (2.5 % CO2 - rest Ar)
