Cobalt hard alloy for wear protection
EnDOtec DO*60
Slag-free flux cored wire. High temperature, thermal shock resistant weld metal on cobalt basis. Scaling resistant up to 800°C. Withstands wear and impact stress. Good erosion and cavitation resistance. Low coefficient of friction for metallic sliding friction.
Insensitive to adhesive wear (even in the absence of lubrication). Corrosion resistant to wet chlorine gas, diluted hydrochloric, sulphuric and acetic acid, salt solutions, seawater and hot sulphurous gases.

Applications
For the build-up welding of unalloyed, low-alloy and high-alloy steels, tool steels and corresponding cast steels, as well as nickel-based alloys.
Typical examples of use are:
components subject to heavy wear, such as slide rails, extruder screws, sealing surfaces of fittings, valve seats in combustion engines, running surfaces of shaft seals, bearing points and grinding tools, as well as hot-working tools such as forging dies, hot-shear blades, hot-stripping tools, hot-piercing mandrels, matrices and tips of stripper tongs.
Processing instructions
Remove any cracked or damaged material. Clean welding areas. Adjust the heat input during welding to the component, its material and dimensions. Preheat to min. 450 °C for welding. Do not fall below the preheating temperature during welding. Use short, spray or pulsed arc welding, preferably pulsed arc technique. Allow to cool in still air.
We recommend using a plastic liner and contact tip as for aluminium welding.
