TeroMatec 4415 - Cored wire electrode

Cored wire electrode for surfacing and connections

TeroMatec 3302, Ø 1.6mm, 15.0 kg

Self-protecting flux-cored wire electrode with rutile-based slag characteristics. Rust-resistant, fully austenitic weld metal. Work hardening. Scale resistant up to 850 °C. High ductility and elongation.

Technical data
DIN EN 14700: T Fe10
Material no.: 1.4370

Hardness: 190 HV 30
Hardness: 430 HV 30 (work hardened)

Applications
For welding buffer layers on manganese hard steels and difficult-to-weld or hardenable steels, as well as expansion and stress-compensating layers between the base material and hard facing, and for welding black/white joints and difficult-to-weld steels.

Typical applications are
Rails, switches, running wheels, firing pins and similarly stressed machine parts.

Processing instructions
Remove cracked or damaged material. Clean welding areas. During welding, adjust the heat input to the component, its material and dimensions. Keep the interpass temperature as low as possible. Weld austenitic manganese steels as cold as possible (below 250 °C) without preheating.

Welding positions: PA, PB
Type of current: = (+)
