Applications
For gap brazing, also in series production, e.g: Unalloyed and low-alloy steels (structural steels, case-hardening, heat-treatable and nitriding steels), high-alloy steels (stainless CrNi steels), nickel, nickel alloys,
copper and copper alloys as well as malleable cast iron (GTW).
Typical application examples are
Equipment and machinery in the food and beverage industry such as bronze and brass fittings, piping, nozzles, cladding and instruments; apparatus for heating and cooling technology.
For brazing gas installations made of copper pipes in accordance with DVGW worksheet GW 2.
Processing instructions
Clean soldering areas. Round off edges. Coat soldering surfaces with flux. Heat the tip of the soldering rod and dip it into the flux. Preheat the workpiece widely and continuously. Do not overheat. Remove corrosive flux residues.
Heat sources: Flame soldering (acetylene), flame soldering (propane/butane), HF induction, oven (with and without shielding gas), resistance heating.
