High-performance stick electrode for corrosion and wear-resistant coatings
XHD 6865
Rutile-base coated, sheath-alloyed high-performance stick electrode with 150 % yield. Fully austenitic Ni-based weld metal. Resistant to pitting, crevice and stress corrosion cracking. High temperature and scale resistant up to 1,100 °C. Not susceptible to cracking and cold-tough down to -196 °C.
Technical data
ISO 14172: ~ E Ni 6625 (NiCr22Mo9Nb)
AWS A5.11: ~ E NiCrMo-3 1*
Material no.: ~ 2.46211*
*) increased copper content
Applications
For joint welding of Ni-based alloys, cold-tough Ni steels, high-alloy CrNi steels as well as unalloyed and low-alloy steels. Also for welding mixed joints (black-white joints) and for build-up welding on unalloyed and low-alloy steels.
Processing instructions
Remove cracked and otherwise damaged material. Clean welding areas. Re-dry at 350 °C / 2 h. Adjust the heat input during welding to the component, its material and dimensions. Limit interpass temperature to 100 °C. Use line bead technique with low line energy. Use wire brushes made of austenitic CrNi steels.
Welding positions: PA, PB, PC, PF
Type of current: = (+) or ~
